Pandorum and Genting

Do not laugh when I said the last time I went Genting was 4 years ago. People seems to find it funny when I tell them this.

So anyway, I just came back this morning from my 1st travel for this sem-break. It was a 3D2N trip, 1 night at KL, 1 night at Genting. Total participants, 3 *lone-wolf. Tete, Tat and me.

The journey started on Saturday afternoon. We gathered at Klang and visited Ravi for Deepavali. At Ravi's house, we get to know a very sad thing: Tete's camera has been pick-pocketed on the KTM. According to him, the KTM was very crowded and everyone is having *hamburger-period (stucked in between people, or the doors) and so, the incident happened and he didnt even feel the extra hand in his pocket. Very sad, because I thought we will have a camera to snap around along the journey, turned out the only camera we were supposed to have is gone. After lunch at Ravi's house, we departed to KL.

Along the way to KL, we planned to go to 1U or The Curve but ended up taking the exactly opposite way of where we were supposed to head to due to lousy roadsigns. Paid 4 tolls which we were not supposed to pay if we take the correct road. Cilaka. Think liao also dulan. In the end, hearing from my dottie Jeannie that 1U there is having traffic jam, I gave up on the idea of going to 1U and head straight to KL instead.

I parked my car at Times Square, the (according to Tat) cheapest mall's-car-park around KL. We had a few hours of *eyes-washing before we walked out of Times Square, across the street, towards some street with a lot of foodstalls, for dinner. After dinner, we went back to Times Square and loitered till the movie showtime.

Pandorum, is what we chose to watch.

It is a Sci-Fi-horror-thriller-type of movie. In my opinion the story-progress is not so unique because throughout the years of watching countless (not all, though) movies, survival-type of progress is not new anymore. Normally the typical story is a group of people, maybe stranded some place or some sort, met creatures or mutated human this and that, and struggled to survive with the ending maybe just one or two lived. This one is typical but not so typical, in a way that the main character awoken to find himself alone, then he found a few more survivors, though in the end they all died anyway except a girl and himself.

Anyhow, the movie contents element of suspense which keeps you thinking what the hell is going on, who and what the hell are they, what is Pandorum, who is good, who is bad, and so on. Other than my typical-not-typical talk, the movie is well presented and quite not-bad.

After movie, we drove around KL town, trying to find the cheapest roadside hotel/motel to have a rest for the night. We checked in at Hotel Cube, with the rate of RM85 for 2 singles bed and toilet provided.

A small room with all that's necessary for a one-night-stop.

Toilet is nice and clean, with heater provided.

The next morning, we checked out about 7am and after breakfast, we headed straight to Genting. Its my 1st time driving up-the-hill/down-the-hill so I drove slow and steady. Wouldnt want to damage my Porsche too. We decided to take the cable car up to Genting, simple and nice.

MRR2, along the journey to Genting.

The Porsche I mentioned, parked at Skyway.

Skyway cable car station.

The 1st thing to do upon reaching Genting, is to go to First World hotel and ask if there's any available room: none.

Ahhh! No room, how how how?

Dont give a fuak first. We rented lockers, kept our bag, bought 3 adults All-park-tickets (RM59 each for peak) and there we go!

Sneak-peek of the Golden-man's fine ass.

Genting's SoL (Statue of Liberty): "The secret of liberty is paint yourself in green, carry a flame-torch and hold the Guiness Book of World Records up high!"

1st thing we played, bumper car. Slow like fuak I tell you, but still can let people knock till your whole body ache.

Everyone reach outdoor theme-park must take a photo with this battery? Fine lo, I also take lo.

Corkscrew from far below.

Lunch at some restaurant with steamboat buffet promotion.

Rm19.90 nett per person. Eat till I wanna vomit because there's nothing really nice except the free-flow iced-lemon-tea and a lot of varieties of balls which basically all tasted the same.

Its Sunday. See the crowd.

Got half tomyam and half normal soup.

Of course, the restaurant has more than just steamboat. You can order dishes but well, most dishes cost more than the price of our steamboat buffet. Maybe the buffet is cheap (at Malacca, steamboat buffet are reaching RM20 too) because the food are from previous days? Deng.

Ohmega Forces, gun arcade.

Carbine M4A1. It is heavy, maybe the weight of a real gun.

Posing.

I dont know whether its the gun, or its my short-sighted eye. I aim straight, it shot top or right. Deng. Wasted my money on this shit.

Again, this is the London bus which most people, upon seeing it will run to the side, take photo, upload it somewhere in the internet tagging "I am at London!" or "does it feel like I am in London already?"

Building scenery, powered by Energizer.

Around 4pm, it started getting very misty. Nice!

Wanna know what's the feeling of jumping down from Ixora? Try Space Shot to experience the feeling of free-fall. Sipeh nice!

Tete barely cross the boundary of 140cm! Haha! Oi Pendek!

Guess what guess what?

Its the Corkscrew roller-coaster!

Queued up to 100m, but sit on the ride not longer than 5 minutes. Deng!

Funny thing: As we were riding on the Antique Car, we saw one Indian guy standing by some bushes *releasing the water stored in his reservoir. What the fuak? Toilet is just less than 50m in front of him, and he chose to stood by somewhere to pee pee? I shouted "oi" at him and his friend who were close by just laughed. Behind me was a family with little girls. What would the girls think huh? What a disgrace. Does his *toot* needed air so much that he had to let 'it' out in the open air? Sipeh retarded.

Misty Genting.

About 6pm, we went back to First World lobby and ask bout the room availability. Again, none. Feeling a bit down and was considering not staying and go back down KL. Suddenly, one auntie approached me asking "you want room? I can give it to you. RM180. Very cheap already. I only earn you RM50 like that. You go other hotel hor, all more than RM200 de." Apparently she's some tour-guide, booked alot of room but got few room not occupied. At 1st I was tempted because we really got no place to stay, then I started thinking, is it necessary that we pay RM60 per person just for one night? Is it even necessary to stay up at Genting overnight? Is it safe?

The auntie asked us to go to the 19th floor and there's her friends waiting there for us, and she left. Being dramatic, we were worried we might get robbed going up like that so we went to 20th floor and take stairs down to take a peek. In the end we come to the decision of not staying so we didnt go meet her friends. Some time later when we went for dinner, we saw her again. There she comes again. "You all dont want the room ah? Dont want why didnt tell me earlier? You all went to which floor just now?" I told her that we decided not to stay so we didnt go, and also told her we will get down to Skyway around 10pm. She tried giving us cheaper price, this time RM150, but futile.

After dinner we take the cable car and go back down to Skyway, but not going back to KL. Instead, we drove up to Genting, as we suddenly changed our mind and decided to just sleep in the car. I changed to short pants and sandals. About 10 to 11pm, we met her again, and she just stood there smiling while the eyes went up and down scanning my body. I guess she will be thinking that we cheated on the not staying part seeing that I get to change my pants and shoes and we are still up at Genting when the cable car station is about to close.

Tete was saying "serves you right la! Tried to chop us! She sure cannot find people de la! Hope she rugi!"

We spent our night walking around indoor theme-park and also bowling.

Dont la stare at me like that. I paid you for the boat ride already leh!

Dont wear shirt, wont catch cold?

Having a Coffeebean's large ice-blended Caramel while walking outside is the best thing you can experience at Genting. Sipeh cold until you can dance like Michael Jackson without knowing how to dance, because you are shivering like hell!

The night view of KL while looking down from Genting is gorgeous as well. All the light blinking blinking, fuh! Bring your girlfriend and just spend time there enjoying the view will be fantastic already.

Sleeping in car is a bad experience. Woke up every 2 hours staring at nothing, cant turn, cant move, because its a car, not a bed, no space for me to simply move. Other than that also got other factors la.

Word of wisdom, never sleep in a Porsche.

Early morning 7am, everyone woke up and I drove back home while dropping them at KTM station on my way. Upon reaching home, I went to bed straight. Lack of sleep ma. Also, my lips feels like cracking because I drank not enough water at Genting. Leg muscle ache here ache there. Aiyoh! Some more have to sit in front PC squeeze things out from brain only can manage to write this 2 hours worth of travel log!

Enjoy reading!
