2. Ta Prohm
Ta Prohm is as seductive as Lara Croft and is the site of some of her cinematic adventures. Built in AD 1186 by King Jayavarman VII, the temple was dedicated to his mother.
3. Beng Mealea
If you’ve been to Ta Prohm and had your Tomb Raider experience, and you want more this is the place to go. Out of town, in the thick jungle.
There are no crowds and you can climb all over the ruins.
4. Banteay Srei
This ‘Citadel of Women’ dedicated to Shiva, is a stunning tour de force of classical art and the most ornate of all of the temples.
One of the most beautiful and delicately carved temples in the region. Definitely worth the 1 hour excursion.
5. Angkor Thom
The last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire!
