GRA -- Grass Racing Autosports/ Grass Racing Autoclub is Malaysia's premier autoclub and community for grassroots racing and autocrossing in Malaysia. This club is formed by autocrossing enthusiast for the sole purpose of grassroots racing.

This year, the club has organized another championship competition -- GRA Championship 2008.

I get to know GRA not because I race of course =.= I dont race car.

Its my friend, Kaito.

Ravi and I followed and supported him during GRA Championship 2008 Round 1 which was held like 1 months ago but I didnt blog about it (Streamyx problem ma last time O.O). If you still feel the need of read a bit about it, visit here.

Today, its Round 2.

Below are photos of cars that I feel are nice and cool, taken by me with my SE K770i. I do not have much car-knowledge so there are quite some cars I dont know the name or model or manufacturer.

Sorry for that eh.

Dont laugh. XD

In GRA, they got different categories differentiated firstly by driver-class (pro, novice or rookie) and then by type of car.

The race was quite excited especially when the Pro-grass class drivers race. Though, a few unwanted accidents happened to some cars.

Anyway, let's get ahead and see some photos.

Subaru. Its a sponsored car and the car of Ivan Khong (Pro-grass class), last year’s GRA defending champion. The car is nice-looking, fast and driven by a pro-driver, you wouldnt want to take your eyes off this car for a second when its on the track!

Another sponsored Subaru. Driven by Andy Kau, 2nd overall in Pro-grass class for GRA R1 '08.

The backside view.

Proton Wira? Driver: Kenneth Chiew from Team Meguiar's. Pro-grass class, OA.

Another Pro-grass class car.

More Pro-grass class car.

Noticed that among all the cars (above and bottom), this car is photographed from the other side? Proud to present -- my friend Kaito's Proton Iswara! Kaito has won the 1st runner up in Round 1, lost to a Kelisa by just 0.01 0.373 second (if Im not wrong).

And guess what?

He's the champion today (Round 2) for his category, class A!

Cheers, bro!

Striking colour eh. Pro-grass class.

Nice car and nice colour. Pro-grass class.

The Lotus Elise club!

Grey Lotus Elise! Pro-grass class.

Yellow Lotus Elise! Drive by Marcus Chye, 3rd overall in Pro-grass class for GRA R1 '08.

Blue! This one doesnt race in this round though. Dont know why. Saw this one racing in Round 1, not bad.

Drive by Clement Yeo (3rd in Pro-grass OB, Round 1) from Team Meguiar's. This car got the "Bling-bling Award" for Round 1 too.

Back view! Blink eh?

Blink blink engine too~

Toyota Vios. Drive by Valerie Atkinson, the 2nd and last female participant in the competition. She's really sweet and pretty by the way.

This car is not racing today, neither in Round 1. But its good looking.

Grass class on the run~

Vios.

Kaitospeed!

Charlie Ling piloting an old school Toyota Levin AE86 - 1st in Grass Class B in Round 1.

Pro-grass class on the run~

Mickey Teoh in his neatly styled Toyota MR2 RWD Turbo being pushed out of track due to mechanical failure halfway in the race.

All cars lining up after the competition for the award ceremony.

What is a car racing competition without RACE QUEENS?!

When there are a lot of cameras with big focus len.

When there's only a Sony Ericsson K770i.

Snap snap snap!

Sweet!

Please notice that they will never look into the way you are looking, because they just wouldnt look towards my SE K770i!

Award ceremony.

Still just so you know, they are known as ambassadors for each sponsor they represent, not race queen! Still nice!
