Using rocket to connect cables

Imagine this, you are building a bridge but you suddenly realize when you are halfway through that you need to connect the pilot cables from one tower to the next. So what do you do?

The Chinese who were building the world’s tallest bridge faced this dilemma. Previously used solutions when building such tall bridges include using kites (really?), via a helicopter or by floating it on water and using a boat.

Well now we all can add another quirky way on how to get a cable to the other side - by using rockets. Yes you read it right, rockets.

The builders of the grand bridge called Siduhe used precision rockets to get the 3200ft cables across the 2132 ft valley below. Even such a seemingly simple idea can contribute to the completion of an engineering marvel as such. The Siduhe bridge was completed in July 2008.
