E-Corridor Day 1

Woke up at 8.30am and went to campus around 9am and wait for *censored* to come with the keys to the operation room. The operation room is where we keep all the FYP projects for exhibitions. All the FYP projects are valuables of respective students so we shall take care of it properly, which makes our work harder.

There are around 10 projects we are exhibiting and while there are small projects which you can hold with one hand, there are also few that you cant handle it alone. There is one particular project called 'Hip Simulator' which through the appearance you wouldnt it to be as heavy as 3 packs of rice (I think I am not over-exaggerating it). Anyway, so I was there early in the morning to shift all the projects to our exhibition area -- CLC Concourse. Luckily, one of our committee drove her car to campus and that helps alot with the shifting.

Beside our exhibition area, Robotic Club were holding an event called 'Line Following Robot Competition', which is also a part of E-Corridor programs. The 1st one to run is someone with the entry name 'Tuk Tuk" and the time is.. 49seconds plus. The rest contenders... they were either disqualified or their robot cant complete the line-following in time (maximum time is 5minutes) dued to errors and even if they can complete, the fastest is more than 2seconds. I didnt watch the whole competition but I think "Tuk Tuk" is the winner then.

My job today, is to shift the things from the operation room to CLC, and then stand at the exhibition area there to take care of the things as well as invite passer-by to take a look. Well, we dropped blood and sweat decorating and of course when there are people looking at all the stuff we done, we will feel the joy right? The few of us were in charge until 12pm where I had a 2 hours class. After the class we went for lunch and then back home. At 5pm, a few of us went back inside the campus to help shift the stuffs back to the operation room. This is why I said this valuables make our works harder.

Night at 8pm, we attend a talk, also a program of E-Corridor. It is a seminar about 'Route to Professional Engineering and Career Talk'. The one giving the speech is a professional engineer titled with Ir. and while I was planning to sleep before going for the talk, I ended up listening to the fabulous talk. I forgot his full name but he's from IEM. One day I might register for the membership for IEM but for now, there's no point for me to join yet XD. The talk went on all the way until 9.30pm and with some refreshments, E-Corridor day 1 has ended well.
