Kuching Trip Day 4

Finally, this is the post about "Day 4 in Kuching"
Seems like many things happen in day 4 and took me very long time to edit and compile the photos. Probably we tried to squeeze everything at the last minute. We had gone to many places, just that there were still many food we need to try. Thus, on day 4, we woke up very early!
Group photo (as usual) before we depart
We headed to the dimsum shop at the China Street. The first shop we went was the most delicious dimsum according to the lodge keeper. He also asked us to try another oldest dimsum shop and compare both of them. So, this is the first shop:

all reading newspaper early in the morning (make us feel really old)
The dimsum taste quite good. rating: 3.5 stars
Next, we headed to the second shop (the oldest pau shop).
The taste was not as good as the first one. In fact, some of it were not delicious at all.
One true theory, oldest not necessary the best, the most famous also not necessary "must-try"
In order to finish our breakfast marathon, we continued our journey to the Harbor Court. The shop was situated near the river. Our mission here was to try the Wine Mee Sua.

The taste was good. The chicken in the soup actually taste better. Left: Wine Mee Sua - rating: 3.5 stars Right:Gon Loh Mee - rating: 3 stars
Then we went to museum. There are total of 10 museums in Kuching itself. All are located near to each others. We only managed to visit 3 of them. Many interesting stuffs that we saw in the museum however can not be share here as photographing was prohibited in the musuem.

Curi curi took this. Because it's too significant to miss. This is a real skull hunted by the head-hunter in the old times. It made that section of the museum so creepy.
Do you realise that once there was a Chinese PM in our country's history? Tun Amydala Ho Lington - - respect you!
Then we continued the trip by visiting the "Atap Street" (Mini China Street). The main objectives were clear: look for the pork satay and the meat ball. Within few minutes we managed to find the stalls! Both of them!~

Left to right, top to bottom: Meat Ball - rating:4 stars , Kolok Mee - rating:3 stars , Pork Satay - rating: 4.5 stars , Green Bean Drinks (normal)
Left to right: Mee Sapi - rating: 3 stars , wantan / shui jiao - rating: 5 stars!
We never thought that the Shui jiao will get highest rate as nobody recommend this to us. But the taste was too good to be forgotten. Aside from achieving our objectives, we get "bonus"! lol

New Parliament Building across the Water Front
One of the temple in the Atap Street.
After that, we went to the Watch Tower to see the Kuching City overview. Free Entrance!

One of the view that i like the most.
The watch tower was the last destination for our day time trip. We headed back to the lodge and started exhibiting our souvenirs. See who "donate most blood" that day. LOL

What the hell is this? Hawker + Fireman + Sakai
Foo & Kaven bought a Sarikei Pineapple and treat all of us. For me, normal. But for sure it was fresh. hehe
We rest for a while and prepared for dinner.
That night, we surveyed the place for dinner for a long time. All have different opinions but end up we had our dinner at the "Khatulistiwa Cafe". The atmospehere there was good and very windy due to its location at the riverside. The food here..... hmm.....let the photos do the talking.

Left to right, Top to bottom: Chicken Chop Garlic Sweet and Sour (superb), Wu dong mee (nice), Nasi Goreng Special (good), Thai Curry Chicken (not bad)
Left to right: Chicken Chop Black Pepper (great), Rendang Beef (ok)
The conclusion is that the food at "Khatulistiwa" were GOOD! (out of our expectations)
While we were having our dinner, we noticed that there were still boat service to cross the river.
We decided to cross the river and took some photos at the other side of the river.
The night view of Kuching City from the other side of the river was breathtaking.
Some "artistic" photos: (keke)

Before we headed back to the main land, we managed to take one photo with the boat uncle.
We ended our night by drinking at the James Brooke Bistro & Cafe.
The atmosphere there was great. Relaxing with smooth music.
We had some "heart-talk" at James Brooke. It was a memorable night for all of us.

The most "beautiful" drink of that night.
