The Game

"We are driven by money, fancy about money
and that's the reason why we are here in Bpharm.
We breath and live for money, they happen to be our closest friend
but we don't really understand what they meant to us"

"What is money?"

A question from me that putting three of them in silence during lunch break.
The barrier of silence was so hard to break through, as we indeed know nothing about money.

Coincidentally the answer was given by Ms Phoong on the next day
I doubt that most of us are able to catch it as we are always busy with our own stuffs, especially during the so called " not important" lecture.

" The cash is the symbolization of the gold...." She said.

In other word, pure gold is the only valuable "thing" that existed in this world.
But even the investment in gold do not promise us with a 100% return nowadays

The issue had dragged me into a deep thinking
The lessons from rich's dad did came across my mind

How often do we hear from a pharmacy student saying that
" In the end I will own a pharmacy shop and earn big money, all this gonna happen after graduation"

Yeah, this is a very ambitious dream that commonly shared by all pharmacy students.

Again doubt arises, how many of us eventually will become a millionaire?

For me, professionals are too cautious in each and every single step that we take, and we wouldn't want to take the risks that probably will get us into trouble. We probably wouldn't want to involve into the dirty and challenging "Money games". The risks are simply outweigh the benefits. We are too RATIONAL in such a way.

The worst still is, we don't get any input on financial management through out our entire school time.

In the end, we are still following the conventional style of earning money.
Running our own business/working everyday, pay debts, save part of the salary and do some fund investment.

Everything seem to be stable
But at the age of 65, we gonna worry about our daily expenses.

Yes, we are fighting for money, but we failed to manage and manipulate our money.
We failed to understand that capitalism has been evolving so much these days

As quoted from
" Our education system is such a big failure as we never incorporate the element of financial management"

So I would say
Pharmacy provides us with a stable job, but not a guarantee in getting us into the world of millionaire

(Don't judge me on this post, i am still passionate in my studies and my future job)
