The keynote speaker Rev. Jesse Jackson Louis Jackson, Sr., one of America’s foremost civil rights and political leaders, gave a public lecture on "Building a Culture of Peace and Development in a Globalized World".

Besides Rev. Jesse Jackson, prominent figures in Malaysia who attended the talk are YABhg. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, YABhg. Tun Musa Hitam, YBhg. Dr. Chandra Muzaffar, YBhg. Tan Sri Razali Ismail, YABhg. Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohd. Ali, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Muhammad Radzi Hj. Mansor, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Musa Mohamad and Prof. Emeritus Datuk K J Ratnam. Besides that, International Peace Foundation Chairman, Mr. Uwe Morawetz were there too.
