Went to watch this movie just now, GSC midnight show.

Fantastic.

Wonderful.

Brilliant.

Shinjuku Incident tells the story of an honest tractor mechanic from China who enters Japan illegally in search of his girlfriend. After failing to find a way to make an honest living, he is swept up into the dark world of the Japanese yakuza.

From my "normal human" point of view, I see no flaw in this movie.

The plot is perfect, nothing too lengthy and nothing too fast-forwarded. This movie is about the story, not action so if you are expecting Jackie's funny-fighting, this is not it.

In this movie, Jackie plays a good guy who became a bad guy, or a bad guy that is still a good guy. He's good hearted in nature and that didnt change, but he did bad things too, for living, for revenge, for friendship.

There is morale behind the story. Someone who is facing a dead end will do anything to survive; someone who do bad things will only have bad ending; someone who all of a sudden given a kind of power and authority will only lead to the surface of human evil nature: greed.

This is a movie not to be missed.
