I drove back to my hometown Banting this afternoon. The journey back to hometown is so scary due to the rain. Along the journey it was raining but it was not heavy until the middle of the journey that it rained to the state that you will never think it can get any heavier that that. Of course, there were cars having accidents, either crashed on their own or knock some other cars. Luckily, I wasnt one of them.

Anyway, I reached back Malacca from Tioman island yesterday night. It was not a bad trip but not good enough though. I will prefer Redang island to be better than Tioman island. Tioman island gives me the feeling of abit too "commercialize" that they barely care about the surrounding anymore. The beach is not as sandy and white as Redang island, there is not much activities available especially at night too.

The trip is organized by MMU Water-Sport Club and a total of 41 peeps joined the trip including the committees. In my gang there's 8 guys and 3 girls that joined.. Kuang, Tat, Gou, Mong, Ravi, Philip, Loong, me, Jenifer, Lin and Irene.

Now, summary of what we did at Tioman.

We depart on Sunday, 2am with bus. Thought of sleeping throughout the journey but end up talking until 5am only I slept off. By the time we reach Mersing's jetty it was around 6am so basically I slept for less than 1 hour. The ferry departs at 7am and it tooks 2hours around to reach Tioman island. The check-in schedule is 2pm so we ended up wandering around with nothing much to do. After we checked in, I thought of sleeping but was dragged to the beach and play around for 3 hours, soaking myself in semi-crystal-clear-salted-sea-water and play splash and throw with friends. Dinner was 8.30pm and we finished shower around 7pm. Everyone became grumpy and bad mood having the empty stomach and waiting for food. After dinner, as I said, there's no night activities around so we camped at the girls' room and play poker all the way till 12 then went back to our own room to sleep.

Woke up at 8.30am and go for breakfast. Actually the food provided were not so bad. Some of my friends were not so satisfied but for me as long as it doesnt suck then its good food. After breakfast its snorkelling time. We were provided with snorkelling gears such as goggles, fins and most importantly life jacket. 41 of us departed on 3 speed boats towards the snorkelling destination. 1st destination, there were a lot of fishes while 2nd destination there were more corals. 3rd destination is a beach where we had our packed-lunch there and after that walked along the beach taking photos and sun-tan ourselves. The tanning turns out to be a total success as among 8 guys in my gang, more than half got sunburnt. Anyway, we got back to our resort around afternoon and continue to enjoy at the beach there. There is a floating platform in the middle of the sea reachable through swimming, so we swam all the way there and while they go further for corals and fishes, I slept on the platform. It is the 1st time I slept in the middle of the sea XD. Got pretty hungry so went back my room for shower and then bought ourselves burgers and follow up is sleep until dinner time. Night is the same, poker-ing at the girls' room. This part really pulls down the feedback for the Tioman trip because when I went to Redang last year at least we get to sing K there.

3rd day, after breakfast we slept for awhile as the ferry was said to reach at 12pm. Gathered at jetty at 11.30pm and waited for the ferry until near 1pm and no ferry was sighted. Only that we know the time has been delayed to 3pm. We went back to the resort there to have lunch until the ferry came. We reached Mersing at about 6.30pm, have dinner and then reached Malacca at 11pm.
The trip was quite fun cause we went with huge gang. Otherwise, I think I might rot there.

One pity thing about Tioman is that there are no Maxis and Digi reception there. Only Celcom. Just because I miss someone I need to spend RM20 to buy a Celcom prepaid card with only RM5 inside. Around 24hours the credit turned Rm0.00 just by sms. What a sad thing.

Basically that's all about the trip. Photo will be uploaded maybe some other time or not at all, because I need time to filter Kuang's near 200 photos and Mong's over 400 photos. Damn XD
