Wireless water meters
New York City will install 826,000 wireless water meters by 2011!
Under the new system, readings will be sent to a network of rooftop receivers throughout the city every six hours, enabling the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to bill property owners every month with exact water usage — with the bill available online.
Under the old system, water use is estimated and folks are billed every three months.

Yesterday Apple presented the latest reincarnation of their iPhone OS, which brings new and exciting features to the already capable OS.

We are on top in robotics
Speaking of robots as mentioned in the earlier posting, we are suddenly reminded of MMU’s own robotic team. MMU is among the most famous in the local robotic arena and is among the tops in robotic studies here in Malaysia. It is no wonder that our robocon challenge team is feared by many of the engineering based universities.
Staying true to our reputation, we won the national level Robocon challenge last year. Who said only Western universities can create good robots? We can too!
