All of sudden, I realize that Malaysia's companies aren't that bad.

There're quite a lot of underdogs and good value companies.

WTF business model.

They have a total asset of 2.4 bil.
But they owe their suppliers/contractors etc for more than 1.1 bil.

They have no loan from the bank at all!
Their suppliers/contractors are their bank!

Free interest loan.

Crazy.

A journalist asked Warren Buffett about how to start knowing about the companies.

He replied: "Well, start with alphabet A"

That's what I have been doing.

The finding for today is that ALL banks have very steady EPS growth since 2008.
Some of the banks are selling cheap relative to their EPS.
They also look similar in financial statement.

Look like everyone can run a bank.

I found quite a batch of companies that're worth investing.

Some selling low, some selling high.

It's matter of timing.

I find it funny on how most Malaysia companies run their business.

Let's take a look at this example:

YTL Corp (Big, gigantic, rich owner)
Total asset: 51 billion
Total liability: 39 billion
Total equity: 12 billion

Average net income for last 5 years: 1 billion

It doesn't take Warren Buffett more than 1 second to conclude that he should throw away this company from his research profile for at least 10 years.

For a 51 billion size company, they manage to earn only 1 billion a year.
It's less than 2%.
