I have kind of routine Tech itchiness.
Every 3 months or so, I will run a scan about the current market of technology products.
The first scan is the price of pc hardwares.
I have a dream of building a super computer inside my own room.
But I want it at cheap price.
I hope that some time in the future, we can get a core2duo pc at RM 200 but too bad it's not happening.
They have kind of bottom line in the market.
If the price falls below that bottom line, they simply stop manufacturing it.
3 more days to a full 3 months
I have taken one week holiday from Momo ever since the virus attacks me.
Basically I did nothing except reading articles, newspapers and facebook over and over again until I close my shop.
The good thing is that I can concentrate well in my business.
I smile more often, talk in slower tone, spend more time in thinking new strategy.
These two nights I have been playing Broodwar again.
This old game is just too fun to play.
STARCRAFT TWO!
Back to the days when we have crappy Pentium III running on unknown graphic card with 1515 dialup connection.
Back to the days when we all are not known that you actually need to build more than one barrack or gateway to pump units faster.
Back to the days when we just don't know what to do until the time elapses 1 hour and we finally decide to have a war.
Back to the days when Liew's sunken colonies OWN.
Back to the days when Ah Cheo's APM hits 130 with simply mouse clicks.
Now we know better about it and hell, Starcraft II, it's out now!
Inception
Great movie, great mechanics, great plot.
It's fictional, but I like the logic inside.
Everything just perfectly locks onto each other without much flaw.
But I dislike the idea that you have to kill yourself in dream in order to wake yourself up.
Further reading if you want to know why...
Just like 2 years ago, I suffer such experience for a period of time.
I guessed I was too stressful and I went to the 3rd degree of dream.
Dream in a dream in a dream.
Yes, I have to wake myself up 3 times before I'm really back to reality.
It'll be a great ART
Momo is like a pretty girl worrying about her body figure.
She has eaten too much information without knowing how to display it.
Her owner Mr Ng has just cleaned her stomach and banned her from eating any more until she's permitted.
There's one promising model proposed by Ke Lun.
I guess it will fit Momo nicely.
More thinking and design is needed before it can become a solid new concept.
There're people whom you just can't agree with
This is the first and second time I throw my temper at customers.
The first one is Bangladesh.
They averagely spent 1 and a half hour to make a deal with me.
For the 1 and a half hour they just sit there and keep asking me to lower my price.
They thought here is Pasar Malam.
I'm sorry, I'm running on a standard business.
They have good patience, I don't.
So before they even start their sentence, I shut them up by shouting,
"No discounts, No second price. Tak ada. Satu harga sahaja. Fixed."
A Revolution That Comes From Heart
We're comparatively rich and wealthy today not because that we're capable, productive, innovative, creative or tech minded.
It's simply because that we have oil and gas.
And even our greatest oil digger does not have the capability to mine oil.
For most cases, they rent the oil field out and take commission.
Our economy is left nothing when the oil and gas are both mined out.
We need a new direction for our people.
The Art of Business
It's no longer about who has the best spec for the service and quality.
It's about who has the right spec that the users truly care about.
Make something that people really want.
Figures no longer tells a good story.
We need a real story.
